JoAnn "Tuby" Dodrill, 79, of 15 South Edgar Street, Kane, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, November 15, 2014 at her residence.
Born January 3, 1935 in Wellsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of Vernon M. and Blanche E. McCracken Simpson. On June 1, 1957 in Wellsburg, she married Fredric M. Dodrill, who died in 2006.
A graduated of West Liberty College, she became a dental hygienist, then received her teacher's certificate and taught elementary school, all in Wellsburg. Later, she received her B.S. in Education from Clarion University, was head of oral hygiene at Warren Dental Arts, and retired as a substitute teacher.
JoAnn was a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God in East Kane.
She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer (Peter) Jerman of Burton, Ohio, Julie (Joe) Szymanski of Kane and Jill (Elias) Vuckovich of Johnstown; two brothers, William Simpson in Florida and Vernon Simpson of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Erica (Jay) Stewart, Sarah (Robert) Mast, Kenneth (Monica) Todd, Joseph (Liz) Szymanski, Jacqueline (Ian) Shepherd, Jessica Szymanski, Ashley Vuckovich and Benjamin Vuckovich; and great grandchildren Bradley, Amber, Timothy and Grace Mast; Anthony and Camille Stewart, Benjamin, Taylor, Mason and Layton Todd; and Breana, Andrew and Josie Szymanski.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents, are brothers John and Robert Simpson.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. Rich and Mrs. Heather Glogau officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
Memorial contributions may be made to a church or charity of the donor's choice.

Philip Paul Frase, 41, of 75 Perry Lane, Zebulon, NC, passed away Friday (November 14, 2014) at his residence.
Born August 15, 1973, in Kane, he was a son of the late Douglas Frase and Patricia Cole Roesch.
Mr. Frase attended Kane High School and was employed as a construction worker.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Mt. Jewett, are a sister, Sarah Roesch of Pittsburgh; a brother, Dennis Frase of Hazel Hurst; two half sisters, Louri King of Rixeyville, VA and Rachael Roberson of New Bern, NC; two half brothers, Carl Frase and JD Frase, both of Trenton, NC; an aunt, Cathy (Gene) Himes of Hazel Hurst; and three cousins, Stephanie Nicklas of James City and Gene Himes and Bradley Himes, both of Hazel Hurst.
Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday (November 21, 2014) at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mt. Jewett with The Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bridgeview Cemetery.

Gayle L. Belden, 58, of 16 Anderson Street, Mt. Jewett, passed away Wednesday ( November 19, 2014) at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born April 19, 1956, in Kane, she was a daughter of Kenneth and Carol Stroup who survive. She was married in Smethport to Ronald Belden who preceded her in death.
Mrs Belden had been employed as a home health care aide in Ohio where she lived until last year. Prior to that, she had worked as a nurse's aide at Sena Kean Manor. She also was a member of the Red Hats in Ohio.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Kenneth (Carolyn) Stroup Jr. of Mt. Jewett and Norman (Vicki) Stroup of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced.

Lillian Leonard, 89, formerly of Kanesholm, passed away Monday (November 24, 2014) at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born April 8, 1925, in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Margaret Jonat Selig. On December 18, 1948, in Buffalo, she married Ralph "Bud" Leonard who preceded her in death.
Lillian loved to sing in the church choir at St. Callistus Catholic Church where she was employed as the church secretary for many years. She also had worked at UPS, was employed as switchboard operator at the Kane Community Hospital and served as a volunteer at the Friends' Memorial Public Library.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce (Joanne) Leonard of Kane and A.W. "Bud" (Karen) Leonard of West Seneca, NY; a daughter, Linda (Dave) Dunn of Cambridge Springs; five grandsons, James Hajnos, Kyle P. Anderson, Daniel Leonard, Richard Leonard and Samuel Leonard; two granddaughters, Donna Holt and Kaitlin Leonard; and eleven nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, were a granddaughter, Laura Leonard; a sister, Eleanor Herda; and six brothers, Adolf, Albert, Arthur, Fred, Donald and Bob Selig.
Friends will be received Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the gathering space of St. Callistus Church with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Friends' Memorial Public Library, 230 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735.

Sally Jo Cleer, 78, of 171 Longview Drive, died Tuesday (November 25, 2014) at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.
Born February 7, 1936, in Sigel, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Sybil Wise Cook. In the spring of 1955, she married Clarence "Clem" Cleer in Kane.
Together, Sally and Clem owned and operated the Longview Inn in Kane for several years. Over the years, Sally also worked for Dr. Bentz, the Kane Community Hospital, Stackpole and Highlander Energy.
Sally loved animals and spent several happy years at her farm caring for them. She also loved her family and especially enjoyed holiday get-togethers. She never missed a high school reunion and was a proud member of "The Huggers" which was a group of close friends from Kane High School.
Surviving are four children,Deb (Joe) Fairo, Bert (Mary Gausman) Cleer, Dan (Missy) Cleer and Tim (Barb) Cleer, all of Kane; six grandchildren, Marisa Cleer, Kevin Cleer, Brandon Cleer, Adam Cleer, Del Cleer and Wes Cleer; a daughter-in-law, Jill Cleer; and three siblings, Nancy (George) Cunningham of Kane, Walter "Capp" (Annie) Cook of Sheffield and Susie Lewis of York; and her former husband, Clem (Deb) Cleer.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her son, Mark Cleer and her grandson, Mark "Junior" Cleer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
Memorial donations in memory of Sally may be made to the Humane Society or McKean County SPCA, Box 113, Bradford, PA 16701.
