Richard C. Lockwood
KANE
Richard C. Lockwood, 76, of 105 Reigel Road, died suddenly on Sunday (May 3, 2015) at his residence.
Born February 24, 1939, at Lantz Corners, he was a son of the late Clark and Adelle Pettigrew Lockwood. On October 11, 1958, in Kane, he married Judy Weaver who survives.
Before his retirement, Richard was a machinist at Stackpole and Kane Handle and more recently at Clarion Sintered Metals.
He belonged to the First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Kane Fish and Game Club.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Loretta (Walter) Carlson of Kane; two grandchildren, Elaina Carlson of Kane and Roger VonArx of Wilcox; a great-granddaughter, Desiree Dana of Kane; a great-great granddaughter, Lillian Dana of Kane; and two sisters, Audrey Lott of Sykesville and Shirley Howell of Mt. Jewett.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at which time a memorial service will take place with the Rev. William R. LaVelle Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery at a future date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
